New Beginnings
Spring is on the way and with it comes new beginnings. New painting ideas, new shows and competitions, galleries reopening after being closed for the winter season and many, many new painting opportunities. Anticipation, joy and feelings of renewal fill us all as we enter this new season of hope.

First Place Award Winning Acrylic Painting -"Ready to Work"

'Ready to Work' was awarded First Place honors at The Meeker Classic International Art Competition in September, 2009, and will be the image used on the poster, brochure, postcard and other memorabilia for the 2010 event. Money's Sad Lack of Intrinsic Value
A good number of my columns deal with finances and money-related
issues. Obviously, these are issues we have to confront
everyday. However, I have to try to keep in mind the fact that
money has only a limited value in our lives. Many of us,
including myself, often lost sight of the fact that money is a
means to an end, not an end in itself. It has no intrinsic
value. It is only worth the benefit or enjoyment that a person
